Hot Hot Hot

(Cardigan: Target, Shirt: SO at Kohl's, Shorts: Old Navy, Sandals: Sonoma at Kohl's, Watch: Target)

Man I look extremely tan in these pics or at least I think I do. It would make sense that I look tan granted that I got a spray tan the day before. These pictures are actually from last week right before the wedding. I only wish I was still that tan but it never seems to last (looking good) for a few days. I know I am posting these pictures a little late but this is a perfect example of what I would wear on a typical weekend. Not too dressed up but not my normal sweats and t-shirts and it is perfect for running errands, which I was doing all day that day. Plus it has been pretty hot here lately with temps in the 90s the last couple days.

I am in love with the way the mountains look here! So pretty with the clouds in the sky.

What I Like...Wednesday 6/29/11

Since we, the United States of Americam, will be celebrating our independence this weekend, I thought that I would make this What I Like...Wednesday about the 4th of July. I am trying to be a little patriotic here. When I think of the 4th of July, I think of spending time outside and having a blast whether you are in the mountains, at the beach, or just having a bbq in your backyard with friends.

1. I think that this dress from Target would be perfect for a bbq and hanging out watching fireworks. It would not work for where I am going, since I am going to to be roughing it in the mountains.

2. This necklace reminds me of the beach (maybe it is the shells).

3. Pleated shorts seem to be in and I can't decided whether I like them or not. But these are pretty cute and paired with a tank or blouse would keep you cool on a hot day!

4. A nice pair of flat sandals will keep your feet from hurting espeically if you are doing a lot of walking. I love the ruffles on these!

5. There wayfarer sunglasses are amazing and also are only 12 bucks. I think I need a pair or two.

Now for my 4th of July weekend, I will be headed up to the mountains to do some camping, hiking and 4 wheeling! I look forward to this trip every summer. Maybe I will even get to see some snow.

Here is where I am heading! Also a few pics from last year!

Brighty

(Shirt: American Eagle, Skirt: Thrifted, Flats: Old Navy, Belt: Thrifted, Earrings: Target)

I was shopping at Goodwill a while back and found this beauty!!! I absolutely love this skirt and since it is yellow and has buttons it is even better. The button placement makes it sort of sailor-ish or at least to me. Since it is summer now and the temperatures are definitely showing it, I feel like I can wear super bright colors.

Hurray for the 4th of July!!!! I can't wait for the weekend to come! We are headed up to the mountains for a little camping and 4 wheeling where I plan to get plenty dirty and have tons of fun. There won't be any style posts coming from this weekend since I plan on wearing jeans, t-shirts and sneakers all weekend.
What are you doing for the 4th?

Golf Pro

(Cardigan: H&M, T-shirt: SO at Kohl's, Pants: American Eagle (old), Flats: Target)

Everytime I wear these pants I get plenty of comments about them. Of course they aren't always nice. The girls that I work with always say that these pants are cute and then the guys have some remark about them. One guys asked if I was the table cloth for the picnic table and I always get the one about looking like a golfer. The funny thing is that I don't golf nor do I know how (unless you include putt putt and I am not good at that either).

If I was going to be in town this weekend, I could have worn these pants to the US Women's Open (golf) Tournament. Too bad I will be spending my time in the mountains!!!!

Whitney's Wedding Day

The wedding was so much fun and everyone was super excited that Aaron and Whitney were finally getting married. It seems like forever ago they go engaged and now they are finally married. Here are a few pictures from the rehersal, the ceremony and the reception. Congrats to the married couple!!!!

Hot Days

(Shirt: Ross, Shorts: Old Navy, Sandals: Sonoma from Kohls)

The weather here has definately been hot lately with the temps in the upper 80s to lower 90s for the past couple of days and there has been no rain. I love the hot weather but sometimes it just wears me out.

Yesterday was the wedding that I have been talking about in the past couple of posts. My best friend Whitney married her love Aaron at a beautiful ceremony. The weather was great and we did get a little relief from the clouds while the ceremony was going on, otherwise we all would have been sweating miserably. After 2 crazy days of getting things ready, all day today I have been super exhausted. I needed today to catch up on my sleep and just rest all day and I was happy that Matt felt exactly the same way. We hung out and watched "Unknown" and then played a game of Monopoly where I kicked his butt. He called it quits when he was down to 7 dollars and only had 3 properties left. Overall it has been a relaxing and very low key day!

By the way, I don't like the quality of these pictures at all. Outside pictures are so much better!

Sleep Needed

(Dress: H&M, Flats: Target, Sunglasses: Essi Eyewear)

I am at the point right now that my head is starting to hurt and the room is a little out of focus and spinny. It has been one of the longest most busy days ever and tomorrow is going to be as busy if not busier. Wedding day tomorrow (not for me but the bestie)! Pretty sure I could go to bed right now and be a sleep as soon as my head his the pillow.

These pictures are from last weekend because I have had no time to get the new ones off my camera and put them on the computer. Otherwise you would get to see my awesome tan, spray tan that is! Pretty sure when these pictures were taken I was tired just like I am now! But when looking at these pictures I noticed a few things. a.) my hair looks horrible b.) that dress it just a little too short and c.) oh how I love those glasses!

What I Like...Wednesday 6/22/11

So this weeks Wednesday post is going to be pretty short because I have had so much going on that I didn't have time to look around. Hopefully next week I will have a little more time. Here we go!

1. First off I am a huge Rockies fan. I love going to the park to watch them play and I watch just about every game on tv. Troy Tulowitzki is one of my favorite players and when I saw he leads the voting for the All Star game I was stoked!

2. I found these sandals on Blowfish Shoes online store. I love the charm design on the front of them.

3. Since I am getting married soon and planning a wedding, I have been looking at wedding ideas. This cake is so simple but amazing! Do you think it would look good with green instead of blue?

That is it for this week! Hope your Wednesday was great!

Field Day

(Shirt: SO at Kohls, Cami: SO at Kohls, Pants: Thrfted, Flatts: Target, Sunglasses: Essi Eyewear)

I try to get out of the office at least once a week to get some things done in the field. This usually requires me to wear jeans and a t-shirt since I don't know what kind to stuff I will be getting in to. It is a good thing that my job allows its employees to wear just about whatever they want. If I really wanted to, I could come to work everyday looking like this but I choose not to. Plus, I don't think tromping around in the weeds and walking a couple miles in a skirt and heels would be very comfy.

I get to start my weekend early this week. I have the next 4 days off for my best friends wedding. Tomorrow is the beginning of the excitement and I am ready for it.

Bachelorette Party

Saturday afternoon we headed up to Denver to celebrate Whitney's Bachelorette Party as she is getting hitched here in 3 days. She didn't want anything crazy or out of control so we just headed out for dinner and drinks.

The bride and part of the bridal party. The other bridesmaid live in Kansas and Washington DC and were not able to make it out for the party.

Our night ended with a long long walk back to the hotel, some drunken munchies and getting into some comfy clothes. Overall we all had a great time and the memories will last forever.

Lets just say the next day we were not as bright eyed and bushy tailed as we were when we started to celebrate. Just a few more days and the wedding will be here! YAY!

(Dress: Ross, Wedges: Rocket Dog, Earrings: Charlotte Russe)

This is the only picture I have of the whole outfit and it is not a good picture at all! Oh well beggars can't be choosers!
