Round Here

(Shirt: SO via Kohl's, Skirt: Thrifted, Flats: Target, Belt: F21, Headband: Target)

I have been tempted to eat better lately and not really by choice but more out of feeling guilty. Matt started this 3 Day Diet on Sunday and finished yesterday (he did for a pt test, he is in the army). Well, he was eating really good even though I felt like he wasn't eating enough. It made me feel bad that I was snacking on anything that I wanted and he had to eat these strict meals. Not to say that I didn't eat pretty
healthy before but for the past 4 day I have been eating better and I hope to keep it up.

It doesn't help that I will be camping this weekend and there will be s'mores, which are one of my all time favorites! I will try and be good and only eat one...a night!

Oops! My belt decided it didn't want anymore spotlight time.

No Topic

(Shirt: American Eagle, Skirt: Thrifted, Shoes: Target, Belt: Target)

Nothing really monumental has happened since I feel in the creek this past weekend. So today I don't really have a topic to talk about. I did however have the best grilled peaches last night for my after dinner dessert (sprinkle on a little brown sugar on the top makes them even better). It is peach season in Colorado and they are super cheap and easy to find. I think the grocery store had them for 50 cent a pound and I bet the farmer's market, which is tonight, has them too. Oh and I got a haircut this last weekend but sorry this post doesn't show it. It really doesn't look much different; just some more layers!

Wardrobe Change

(Sweater: OldNavy, Dress: via Ross, Flats: Target)

Saturday I spent the afternoon and evening at a close friend's wedding. It was a great day and I got to drive up the Estes Park with my best friend Whitney. I was super excited to wear this dress since it was still summer and the wedding was in the mountains. Everything was great until I...

Fell in the creek!
Yep, that's right! Me and my clumsy self slipped while I was next to the creek. Don't worry I am ok! I though it was a good idea to see how cold the water was while wearing flats and walking down a slope! And in the picture I am holding my shoe!

Here is my backup outfit (that I was so happy that I had). The skirt is actually a dress, which is too short. I just added a shirt and a belt to finish it off.

Here and There

I was here and there and everywhere this weekend or at least it felt that way. I feel like I had no time to rest. I started my weekend by heading down to the state fair in Pueblo, CO. A friend of mine had free tickets to Little Big Town so we headed down early to enjoy the fair. We were lucky that we didn't get rained on but it sure did look like it. The best part, besides hanging out with some great people, was getting a funnel cake!!! YUMMY!

Saturday W and I headed to a friend's wedding in Rocky Mountain National Park/Estes Park! The wedding was beatuiful and fun even though we did get rained on and I fell in a creek (more on that later). We have all been friends since high school and all still live in the same city.

The Stanely Hotel!!! The hotel was opened in 1909 and was inspiration for "The Shining" by Stephen King. It is a beatuiful hotel and I loved the old decor inside from the old elevator to the "fake" keys at the check-in desk!

W and I also stopped in Boulder to eat some yummy lumch and do some shopping at Forever21. I hope you all had a great weekend!

Blue, Brown and Floral

(Shirt: F21, Shorts: Old Navy, Flats: Target)

I feel like this week has been super long, but maybe that is because it is my first full week of work since the month started. I wish that I could have a lazy weekend on the couch or around the house. That isn't going to happen at all. Pretty sure Friday night we are headed to the Little Big Town concert at the State Fair and then up to Estes Park for a friend's wedding on Saturday. Sunday may be my only day to get some down time.

What are your plans for the weekend? Maybe you will get a chance to rest on the couch!

A Little Flare

(Shirt: Thrifted, Vest: Old Navy, Pants: Levi's via Kohl's, Flats: Old Navy, Belt: Target)

Ever had one of those days where the morning goes by really fast and the afternoon goes by extremely slow? Well today has definatly been one of those days. I know as soon as I leave work though the evening will go by super fast. Before I know it, it will be 9:30 and time to go to bed. (I know I am a old person but when you get up at 5:15 for work, you have to go to bed early.)

Did you hear there was an earthquake in Colorado? Kind of crazy, huh?

Weekend Events

This last weekend we spent the weekend up at Copper Mountain, Colorado. Matt and some of my coworkers competed in the Warrior Dash. It is a 3.1 mile (5k) run with obstacles like a mud pit, cargo net, etc. There are races all over the US and I can't wait to participate next year (since I couldn't this year). Only thing I am not looking forward to is the mud that will be on my face and in my hair.

Look there is still snow up there. Not to long and there will be more!
