Flooding

The last 2 days have been rainy and cooler, but I don't mind because it has been cool enough to get some use out of my fall wardrobe. Yesterday afternoon started with a downpour and it ended sometime this morning. We had a record of 5 inches of rain in the past 24 hours which is half of what we normally get in a season. Of course with all that rain, we had flash flood warnings out the wazoo yesterday. Everything is fine now just dealing with some trails being closed near the house and standing water on the road.

When I walked out my door this morning, all I could hear was the rushing of water like a river makes. Well the creek that is close to my house was flooded so much that it made a river. Here are some pictures of what was left this afternoon. (That bridge is a trail and the water was higher than the bridge at one point.)

  1. so preppy and cute, I like gingham. Wish I could do some layering like this, the weather is the same everyday forever.

Wao, what a flood! You look cute in this outfit though! I love the pattern of your collar shirt and how you layered underneath the sweater. Very chic!
