Weekend Pumpkin Patch

This weekend we ventured out into a new part of Kentucky to check out some pumpkin patches and some pumpkin "garage sales". There were some good places to see and some very "redneck" pumpkin farms. The two places with the best selection and more attractions are the ones that we stayed at. We browsed through the assortment of pumpkins and even went through a cornmaze, where my husband thought it would be fun to scare me. I didn't think that was very nice. We even scored some huge pumpkins for $3 and can't wait to carve them.

We are happy to announce that we are expecting our first child in early April next year. The last few months have been rough but we made it through. Here's to more posts coming with outfits and pregnancy updates. Thanks for those who have stuck with the blog in my 3 month break!

Lately...

Sorry for the unexpected break from blogging. Life has been very busy and life changing lately. Also, I have had no motivation into writing or posting anything new on the blog. I hope to be back soon with some new pictures and content. So please forgive my absence.

 This morning I was sent back 5 years to when I was in college. I was watching tv this morning and what was on none other than The Hills. I can't believe that I used to think this show was great and watched it religiously. Now that I'm watching this show again there is just too much drama and it isn't that great at all. I guess I was just naive and young when I first watched it. But I have to admit that watched at least 2 hours of it.

It's Monday again so that means it's time for Inspiration Monday. This week I didn't really have to think too hard about what to wear. This is a typical outfit that I go for especially since it has been super hot lately. I recently got this tank and loved the color since it is a neon yellow. (I don't think the picture really does it justice.)

Hope you had a great weekend! Mine was good and relaxing. And it finally rained here which is very much needed for the grass and my garden.

It's been one of those crazy weeks because of the holiday in the middle of the week. I have been behind on getting posts up and getting things done around here. Next week should be better, since it is a normal week, and we are expecting some company. I can't wait to see our family coming to visit.

Happy Friday! How was your 4th of July?

Ours was pretty laid back and we stayed at home. We had a small BBQ the night before so we decided that we would just stay in and have hamburgers, potato salad and baked beans for dinner. We did run to one of the firework stand and get some sparklers, since they are my favorite. Fireworks are legal in our town so there was no need to go watch a show. Instead we just sat in the backyard and watched all the people that live around us shoot them off.
