Pretty Plain

My whirlwind weekend came to a close with a good nap and dinner with my family to celebrate Father's Day and then it is back to work for a couple of days. The countdown is on for the wedding and we are 4 days and counting. The next few days are going to be busy busy and then on Saturday I plan to just collapse on the couch and don't intend on moving the whole day with the excpetion of eating. I am pretty sure Oscar will be fine with cuddling on the couch with me and Matt can join us after his class.

Doesn't breakfast for dinner just sound really good? I have been craving some pancakes with syrup and eggs all day!!! Mmmmm I can't wait for dinner and maybe they will help me fill out these pants because they are just a little too big!

Productive Morning

Today has already been a very productive day. By noon, I had already walked Oscar, been to the gym, bank, and car wash, and baked oatmeal chocolate chip cookies. Cookies are just want you need after the gym right? I mean you burn all of those calories off and then come home and eat cookie dough and fresh baked cookies. Sounds pretty perfect to me.

The rest of my day isn't going to be any less busy than it was this morning. I am suppose to be leaving for Denver in an hour and half and I just barely finished packing and still need to shower and get ready. It should be a fun time tonight with the girls but I will miss my boys at home. Don't worry I will be back before they know it to celebrate Father's Day tomorrow with my family.

Shorts Weather

Every week I look so forward to Thursday because that is the start of my weekend, but by Thursday I am always down right tired.  I got home from work today and just laid on the floor and gave Oscar a good scratchin'. He loves to have his tummy scratched just like every dog does.Matt is probably tired this week because it is his first full week back at work after having 3 weeks of leave. By tomorrow night we are going to be so pooped, well maybe more him than me, that we will probably just stay in and watch some baseball and get comfy on the couch.

I can't believe that it is one week till my best friend gets married. It is going to be a great time and this weekend starts the beginning of the busy week that she is going to have. Bachelorette party here we come, well on Saturday at least. Before I know it, she will be throwing a bachelorette party for me, but we still have a little time for that!

What I Like...Wednesday 6/15/11

With having a new blog, there are a lot of ideas that I come up with that I want to share with everyone. I have decided that on Wednesdays I am going to post an entry that talks about the new things that I like or want or possibly something that I found interesting. So to start my first What I Like...Wednesday here we go.

1. I have really started wearing a lot more dresses lately and dresses that I can wear to work make me even more happy. While looking on ModCloth, I found this and this.

2. On Saturday, I am headed up to Denver for the night for my best friend's bachelorette party. She chose Citron New World Bistro for the place to start her last night of freedom. Looks pretty tasty to me!

3. I read fashion blogs about everyday. This watch was featured on the blog and I just feel in love with it.

4. DSW is great and I know that every girl loves shoes. I love flats and came across these flats that would be ok for work and are super cute.

5. I love to cook unless I get off work late and am not in the mood, like tonight we had hotdogs on the grill. I try to make a few big meals a week that will feed us for a couple days. This gnocchi dinner looks amazing and it is meatless, which I should try more often.

Totally Confused

When Matt and I went to San Francisco, I had to go shopping because they have some many more stores. I had never been to a Forever 21 and had only bought some of their clothes from the online store. I walked in and was in love with a lot of things. Many of the things that I liked were out of my price range, but I then stumbled upon a couple of sale racks where I found this shirt or dress. Sale racks are normally the first spot I go because my clothing budget doesn't allow for full price clothes most of the time. For normal people who don't have a long torso, it would be a dress and that is what it is suppose to

be. For people like me (I am not afraid to admit it "I have a long torso") this so called dress is more like a shirt. I love the colors in this shirt/dress.

Matt takes majorty of my photos and he doesn't take it serious. He takes crooked ones and ones that catch me doing the most random thing. He thinks it is funny and sometimes I don't. But I love him anyway!
